- You may be videotaped or recorded at any point of the Bodog Battle Competition!
- You must be a citizen of the country in which you are competing in this contest.
- You must have a valid passport of your country.
- You must not have a criminal record or pending criminal charges that may interfere with your ability to travel freely around the world or otherwise restrict bands ability to work in the entertainment industry.
Are you at least 16, unsigned, and living in the United States? Then all you need are three to 12 band members and you can sign up to rock it out in the Bodog Battle! It's Free!
It's not rocket science. You need to upload your band bio photos, an mp3 of your tunes, your contact details, your band's web links, and your lyrics before we put you on the Battle site. We call this mandatory, kids. Learn it, live it.
Once we've cleared you to Battle, You need to get the word out to your fans and get 'em to sign up and vote for you! Voting closes November 16, 2007. Band sign up closes two weeks prior to the first audition show in your city. We hear the Internet and places like Myspace, Facebook and Buzznet totally help! Duh.
Outstanding bands and those with the most votes move on to audition in front of a panel of music directors and industry experts LIVE! Only 24 bands from each city audition round will move on. Get your posse together for the show 'cause there's more fan voting!
The best bands move on here to battle on stage in front of a panel of judges. This is your time to shine and show them you really want this. The stage is the battleground and you've got to fight for it, so rock HARD.
Listen up. Selling tickets in the Impress the Judges round is key. It's more than just outplaying other bands - you've got to out-promote them, too. Show the judges that you have what it takes to fill a venue and win new fans by covering all the bases. Some winners will be decided at the show by a combination of music directors' scores and fan ballots. A Wild Card band will be chosen based on the greatest number of online votes achieved in the week following their performance, which means increasing your online presence is a key element! Did we already say that?
Only one or two bands from each show will make it out of the Regional Semi-Finals round, keeping the dream alive to battle it out in Regional Finals. One Wild Card band will advance from each show based on the greatest number of online votes achieved in the week following their performance.
Band(s) from each show will make it out of the Regional Finals and live to fight another day in the Battle to End All Battles for a shot at the $1 million recording agreement. Oh yeah, to raise the stakes at this point, we'll be filming it with a TV production crew to make a reality TV series. Here's your 15 minutes - so make the most of 'em.
10 bands from around the world (Four US bands, one Canadian band, two UK bands, one Scandinavian band, one German band and one Wildcard band) will play this final show. Bodog Battle shows will be broadcast on network television and wrap up with one wicked band being awarded the Bodog Music recording contract worth $1 million. Fame and fortune could be YOURS.
